How to set up your Slack Survey Integration

SurveySparrow

Connect your SurveySparrow account with Slack.

Step 1: After creating your survey, go to Integrate -> Integrations. Select Slack from the list of integrations.

Step 2: You will be redirected to an authorization page. Log in to your Slack account. Click on ‘Allow’ to enable access to your Slack account.

Step 3: Your integration has successfully been enabled. Select a Slack channel/user from the dropdown list. All your survey response notifications will be sent to this channel/user.

Step 4: Now when a respondent submits a survey, a copy of the responses will be sent to the respective channel or user.

Webhooks

A webhook in web development is a method of augmenting or altering the behavior of a web page, or web application, with custom callbacks.

Note: Custom Integration has been replaced by Slack Apps.

Step 1: Navigate to Slack’s API page and click the Start Building button. Enter the App Name and choose a Slack environment to deploy the App.

Step 2: Under Add Feature and Functionality, select Incoming Webhooks and enable the Activate Incoming Webhook toggle button and click the Add New Webhook button.

Step 3: Choose a Slack Channel to trigger your Webhook. Once saved, the endpoint URL is generated automatically. https://hooks.slack.com/services/WorkspaceID/ChannelorUserID/Webhook ID. For example, https://hooks.slack.com/services/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

Step 4: Click Save and test the connection.
