First, you really want them to open your email. So, you can either create a sense of urgency or surprise them with a witty remark. For instance, let’s take the company Zillow. Your feedback will help us improve.’ Meanwhile, to your Promoters, you could say something like this: ‘We’re glad to know that! Care to tell us why?’ This way, your questions will come across as more personal and unique.

There isn’t much a customer can gain from taking a survey, is there? Sure, a company might one day work on their feedback. But that’s not really a given. This will then tell your customers that they’re not wasting their time here.
