Goal
Unlike conventional medical diagnostics processes, ImYoo has taken a different approach where donors self-collect their blood samples at their own convenience. In order for effective self-collection, donors first had to understand if they were in the right condition to donate. To enable this at scale, ImYoo decided to design guided assessments that donors could take any time, in the form of surveys.
It was also important for ImYoo to be notified about new responses instantly, to streamline the process of tracking and analyzing samples over time. To achieve this, they sought a platform that could easily create surveys and integrate seamlessly with their existing tech stack.
Challenges
Sample donors were often unsure if they were in the right condition to donate, leading to delays and inefficiencies in the process. Without proper guidance, this uncertainty slowed things down. To improve efficiency, ImYoo needed a comprehensive platform that would help donors assess their eligibility and provide real-time notifications. They wanted a simple tool where donors could take a quick survey to determine if they were ready to donate a sample.
Solution
In the process of evaluating potential solutions, ImYoo came across SurveySparrow. They found the platform user-friendly, making it a perfect fit for their needs.
To help donors assess their readiness independently, ImYoo began sharing surveys via QR codes. Donors, after taking the survey and assessing their condition, would collect their blood sample and send it to ImYoo. As donations came in, ImYoo wanted to ensure they were always prepared for each new sample and used SurveySparrow’s API to set up instant notifications.
To ensure a smoother donation process and prevent gaps in data collection, ImYoo implemented a solution that captured partial responses. This feature proved especially useful for longer surveys with videos or detailed steps, where donors might pause or drop off.
Since the sampling process required donors to switch between completing the survey and performing real-world tasks—such as collecting blood or packaging samples—there were many chances for them to forget or not return to the survey. By capturing partial responses, ImYoo minimized data loss and kept the process running efficiently.

How we hit the mark
Results
ImYoo’s donor assessment process through SurveySparrow was fast, smooth, and reliable. Without relying on third parties, donors could complete assessments on their own, making them an empowered participant in research .On ImYoo’s end, the instant alerts about incoming blood samples kept the team informed, ensuring they were always prepared for new submissions.
Critically, even when donors paused midway, their partial responses were recorded. This meant every valuable response was captured, and ImYoo staff could intervene if a donor started the process but had trouble finishing. It also strengthened their data quality and ensured no data was lost in the process.
By eliminating manual effort and ensuring continuous data flow, ImYoo could focus on what truly mattered. With better efficiency and more insights, they were equipped to scale their efforts and make a greater impact.
