With the recent demonstration of AI capabilities by ChatGPT and other AI systems, there is a widespread concern that AI will lead to mass unemployment and take away many job roles. To make it worse, after announcing 3900 layoffs in January 2023, IBM plans to replace 7800 jobs with AI.

We faced a similar issue during the Industrial Revolution: machines replaced many skilled jobs and ended the cottage industry. This caused nationwide protests from workers because their skills and experiences were left useless.
